Temple Emanuel in Lakeland, Florida, hosted a book discussion and lunch for me on Sunday, January 29. Jane Renz, a member of the board of Temple Emanuel, invited me to come and she put great time and effort into coordinating the event. We started with a lunch, then my talk, then dessert. I would say about 60 people attended. I would also say the gratitude is always mine when I have the opportunity to share the story of my friendship with Inna with others and this was certainly true on Sunday at Temple Emanuel. The suprise, however, was a gift Jane presented to me at the end of my presentation. Temple Emanuel made a contribution, in my name, for cancer research to the Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Center in Jerusalem. I am so deeply moved by this gift–to me and to cancer research.
