Here’s a great idea, which I can’t take credit for, but from which I will benefit: Karla Jensen, the Executive Director of the Beaver Dam Area Arts Assocation, is promoting my book to all book clubs in the Beaver Dam area and has invited them to participate in a book discussion, beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28 at the Seippel Center. My book is available for purchase at the Seippel Center, Book World, and Vineyard Books and Gifts in Beaver Dam, so it is a great way to support local retailers. It is also available to check out at the Beaver Dam Community Library. You can join the read even if you are not a member of a book club.
Both my parents were from the Beaver Dam area. My dad’s parents owned a print shop in downtown Beaver Dam and my dad, Jerry Paul, graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1948. My mom, Helen Hickey, grew up in Juneau and her parents had a farm just on the edge of town. I was born in Beaver Dam and lived there until I was four. I appreciate the effort Karla is making to share my story with the Beaver Dam community–it’s my honor to do so.

Sounds great, Lisa! Have fun at the event. Joan
