Six months ago, I found out that Skyhorse Publishing was willing to sign me on as an author and publish my book. Since that time, I have reviewed and revised the book four “offical” times: two rounds with my wonderful editor at Skyhorse, Julie Matysik; once after it was reviewed by a copyeditor; and another time after it was reviewed by a proofreader. Each time, I made several changes ? restructuring a sentence, changing a single word, deleting words, or adding words. It was a process that seem liked it would never end. And then a week ago, with the simple change of the word “crazy” to “incredible,” the process did come to end. The book is done and went to the printer this week. We are on target for a February 1, 2011 publication date.

I am already in the ?promoting-the-book phase,” and will provide those exciting details in my next post. In the meantime, I have lots to do to get ready for Christmas this weekend, including getting a tree, baking some cookies, and shopping.
